Ipads from Apple Company are the most popular tablets in the World. Apple is inserting latest technologies in these ipads to make them more attractive and user friendly. The speed of processor is tremendously increased from older versions of ipads. Also now two cameras are embedded with these latest ipads. The video recording and photo capturing is now done with face recognition also.

Today in this short article I describe the differences and similarities between ipad 3 and ipad 4.

Differences:-

Here are the differences.

Ipad 3:-

• Ipad 3 has front facing camera of 0.3 MP. It is a VGA camera that can capture at 640 x 480.
• Processor is A5X dual core. The processor in ipad 3 has quad core GPU.
• Ipad 3 when launched had come up with IOS 5.1. Now ipad 3 can be upgradeable to latest IOS 6.
• Ipad3 also supports 4G but it is not fully implemented in different areas.
• Ipad 3 becomes hot while charging.

Ipad 4:-

• Also called ipad with retina display.
• Ipad4 has come up with increased quality of front facing camera of 1.2 MP.
• Apple ipad 4 has newest processor of A4X type and Apple claims that it is double in performance as compare to ipad 3 in handling tasks.
• New ipad 4 comes with IOS 6 installed in it.
• Lighting dock of 8-pin which is more durable.
• WI-FI plus cellular version has LTE enabled in it.
• Ipad 4 has more internets browsing speed than ipad 3.
• Ipad 4 has HD camera.
• Now ipad 4 has face recognition feature enabled during recording of video also.
• Front facing camera can take 720 video.

Similarities between ipad 3 and ipad 4:-

• Rear facing camera of 5 MP.
• Both ipad 3 and ipad 4 has battery of 11,560 mAh that can run continuously for 10 hours. This is good thing because the retina display consumes more battery but still gives millage of 10 hours.
• Prices of both ipad 3 and ipad 4 are same i.e.
• WI-FI Prices:- $499 for 16 GB, $599 for 32 GB, $699 for 64 GB
• WI-FI plus Cellular Prices: $629 for 16 GB, $729 for 32 GB, $829 for 64 GB

Now with the launch of ipad 4, the older ipad 3 is no more available at stock. You will not find any big differences between these two tablets but some differences that I discussed should be an advantage to ipad 4.
